Why Solar Energy is the Best Energy Solution
The number one reason solar energy is the best energy is that it comes to us from our sun free of charge every day.
The second reason is that it is now financially competitive with all other energy sources.
It also has the greatest potential to reduce most of the carbon dioxide currently emitted into the atmosphere by human activity.
- Because of the reduced carbon, global warming is reduced and can prevent the release of trapped methane under otherwise melting ice-caps. Methane increases global warming by a factor 80 to 1 compared to the same volume of carbon dioxide.
- Without solar or other carbon dioxide reducing energy sources, we will hit a tipping point where run-away global warming will accelerate to a point where we cannot stop it.
Solar energy can be converted into a variety of storable energies for short-term or long-term use such as chemical batteries, electrolytic storage, pumped hydro storage and hydrogen by way of electrolysis stored as a gas, liquid or solid.
Above all, my reason for getting into the solar industry is that it gives the individual person, family or business the power to control their own energy generation. Controlling energy is the key foundation to survival and freedom for any lifeform. For humans energy independence woven together with energy interdependence is the fabric that builds and maintains great societies. Solar is the only energy we have that can provide this.
Solar energy is the best energy source for the people on this planet and for any other planet with intelligent life capable of technological development.
