To qualify for the NABCEP ESIP exam, 58 hours of solar training are required, 40 of those hours must be advanced level courses.
Our ESIP course bundle provides 58 + hours of advanced level training recognized by NABCEP. Courses include,
PV221-70A, PV221-70B, PV221-70C, PV222, PV223 and PV224
The tuition for these courses taken individually is over $1500. The bundled price is $985.
Completion of Solairgen training courses will provide the individual with an expanded knowledge and understanding of the construction trade. These courses are supplemental and not primary to become a licensed professional construction contractor.
PV221-70A and B are National Electrical Code (NEC) courses pertaining to PV systems. 7 hours each = 14 hours.
PV221-70C is a 6-hour NEC course.
PV222 covered interactive PV system design. 12 hours
PV223 covers troubleshooting and maintenance. 9 hours
PV224 covers PV systems with energy storage. 18 hours
NOTE: NABCEP also requires completion of a minimum 30-hour OSHA certified training course. Check the NABCEP resources page for a list of OSHA certified training courses. Read though the NABCEP certification handbook to see additional requirements to sit for the exam such as verified field experience installing or designing PV systems.
